COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED:

WHAT SHOULD I CHARGE FOR MY PRODUCT OR SERVICE?

Knowing the difference between cost and value can increase profitability: the cost of your product or service is the amount you spend to produce it, the price is your financial reward for providing the product or service, the value is what your customer believes the product or service is worth to them. Pricing should be in line with the value of the benefits that your business provides for its customers, while also bearing in mind the prices your competitors charge.

Can you tell us a little about your business?

I founded my business on the basis of helping people in my community by breaking the language barriers that exist between a provider and their clients. This is something I have always dreamed of doing growing up.

What was the biggest problem that you faced when starting your business?

One of the biggest problems I've faced in my business has been funding. Right next to that has been finding talent. People willing to work. I thought it would be easy but it turned out it hasn't been.

Why did you choose the SBDC?

I went to the SBDC for help with my business plan originally and from there they have helped me with other things like starting and keeping my finances in my business.

How did the SBDC resolve your startup concerns?

They also introduced me to PTAC who has shown me the best practices for applying for the state of OHIO MBE, EDGE, WBE, programs and local, state, and Federal Certification workshops, and much more. SBDC has been and is still very important to me in my business with the help they offer. I am very Grateful and Thankful to the SBDC!
